Army ACFT

The Army Combat Fitness Test, ACFT, is the ultimate assessment of the domain of the readiness of members of the Army. This test improves soldier and unit readiness, enhances mental toughness and stamina while reducing injuries and attrition. There are six fitness events: 3 repetition maximum deadlift (MDL), standing power throw (SPT), hand release push-up-arm extension (HRP), sprint-drag-carry (SDC), plank (PLK), and finishing with a 2-mile run (2MR).

There are certain equipment requirements and set-up with exercises. You will need access to a 60-pound hex bar and plates, 10-pound medicine ball, 2×40-pound kettlebells and a 90lb sled.

The scoring tables are adjusted for both age and gender performance. All these exercises are intended to build muscular strength and explosive power, improving coordination and balance, while analyzing both anaerobic and aerobic endurance.
