Navy PRT
The Navy Physical Readiness Test, or PRT, measures muscular strength, endurance, and aerobic capacity. It consists of 3 parts: push-ups, planks, and a 1.5-mile timed run. Push-ups are essential to building upper body strength necessary to win battles. Planks are essential to maintaining a strong core and being battle-ready at a moment’s notice. The 1.5-mile run/walk is the Navy standard for evaluating cardio-respiratory endurance.
The PRT scoring has five levels: outstanding, excellent, good, satisfactory/probationary, and failure. To pass the PRT, you must score at least satisfactory/probationary in all three events.
